Dick retired as Vice President, Operations from Fluor Corporation after 36 years of service. His wide and varied experiences at Fluor, along with his desire to help others as they grow and develop their businesses, led him to organize Wintergreen and carry on the improvement services that he worked to develop and implement at Fluor. Dick's career at Fluor included assignments domestically and internationally.
He has served as Project Manager, Manager of Projects, General Manager of Project Operations, Office General Manager, Division P&L Leader, Leader of Functional Operations (Support Services including procurement, contracting, estimating, cost and scheduling, information technology, and facilities management), and as a Corporate Risk Officer for a Business Group. In his tenure, Dick was responsible for managing projects and business units, leading teams, and developing work processes and procedures to improve current performance and prepare for coming markets and strategies. He developed and taught training classes and mentored individuals and teams to promote better management, performance, and profits as well as help grow the next generation of the company's leadership. Risk management was one area in which Dick served as an internal consultant to help the various businesses with current situations and better prepare for the future.
Thus, Dick created Wintergreen to help any business plan and achieve the next goal in their success and development; getting a leg up on their competition. The best way to do this is to take the risks facing your business and turn them into opportunities for growth and profits.
